Miley Cyrus tops list of Most-Googled People

Miley Cyrus has topped the list of this year's most-Googled people.

While the deaths of Nelson Mandela, Paul Walker and Cory Monteith dominated the year's top trending searches, musicians took over when it came to famous names being searched for around the world.

Rapper Drake is the runner-up after Miley, followed by Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber and Beyonce.  Kim's fiance Kanye West comes in at number ten, and Bieber's ex Selena Gomez shows up at number nine.  Pop stars Katy Perry, Rihanna and Taylor Swift all appear as well.

Miley's explosive 2013 has earned her several other end-of-the-year accolades.  She was shortlisted for "Time" magazine's Person of the Year honor, but lost the title to Pope Francis.  The singer was, however, chosen as one of Barbara Walters' 10 Most Fascinating People.  Her interview will air during the special Wednesday night on ABC.
