Weekend in Colorado

I was in Colorado last weekend. Here's some of the action photos!

  •
I always see deer in the yard in Colorado and this time was no exception.
  •
Just a selfie of me hiking in North Cheyenne Canyon outside Colorado Springs.

This is the waterfall I hiked to, Helen Hunt Falls. No, not named after THAT Helen Hunt.
  •
Taken from the bridge over the falls. You can see the guy I met, Bijon, in the water picking out trash that people throw in there.

I picked up trash along the trail. This is the trash I got along just one 3 mile section of the trail. Don't F**king litter!
  •
To me, this rock looks like a hippo sticking it's head out of the water. But I'd just gotten done sniffing paint, so...

The Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun. Will Rogers was the biggest celebrity in America when he died in 1935 and they say it was the country's biggest loss of a public figure since Abraham Lincoln.
  •
I'd never been there before, even though I grew up about 25 miles from the shrine but it was so beautiful. Definitely a "Must-See" if you visit Colorado Springs.

Rode the Shadow up in the mountains. Not much power to climb the hills, but it gets the job done!
  •
Deer on the dam at my old Scout camp, Camp Alexander.
  •
The lake at Scout Camp has dried up. The boats are a good 100 yards from the nearest water.
  •
    A chimpmunk checking me out.

Eleven-Mile Canyon. Riding a street motorcycle on 11 miles of rocky, washboard road ain't that much fun.
